This reminds me of the recovered/reconstructed memories of my first experiments in consciousness in the womb. It seemed like an automatic hard-reset would happen whenever the "software" would become unstable or cease to be useful (in which case corrective mechanisms would tend to MAKE it unstable).

My Opinion
