Last Kiss Lyrics
Oh, where oh where can my baby be
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven so I've got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave ... this world
We were out on a date in my daddy's car
We hadn't driven very far
There in the road, straight ahead
A car was stalled, the engine was dead
I couldn't stop, so I swerved to the right
I'll never forget the sound that night
The cryin' tires, the bustin' glass
The painful scream that I ... heard last
[Chorus]
When I woke up the rain was pourin' down
There were people standing all around
Something warm was runnin' in my eyes
But I found my baby somehow that night
I raised her head, and then she smiled and said
Hold me darling for a little while
I held her close, I kissed her our last kiss
I found the love that I knew I would miss
Now she's gone, even though I hold her tight
I lost my love, my life ... that night
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven so I've got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave ... this world
We hadn't driven very far
There in the road, straight ahead
A car was stalled, the engine was dead
I couldn't stop, so I swerved to the right
I'll never forget the sound that night
The painful scream that I ... heard last
There were people standing all around
Something warm was runnin' in my eyes
But I found my baby somehow that night
I raised her head, and then she smiled and said
Hold me darling for a little while
I held her close, I kissed her our last kiss
I found the love that I knew I would miss
Now she's gone, even though I hold her tight
I lost my love, my life ... that night

Golden Oldies never die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the Pearl Jam song much better.
This song is amazing, upbeat but yet so tragic. I love the Pearl Jam version (which I heard first) but i like this one better
is this a true story??? i think this is.... so much emotions
ok I dont know which version I like better... This one or Pearl Jam... I just know that this is a classic oldies song... & I love it!! It is the best song I believe I have ever heard!! My Senior English teacher sung this for us last year & it was really good... I also got to hear it at a fair Saturday night... every time I hear it... it never fails to make me almost cry... Great song... Great meaning... what more is to be said??
I think I like this one better... still dont kno
This one is definitely better than Pearl Jam's, in my opinion. The first time I heard it, my brother played it on the accoustic guitar. Great song.
yeah it's a true story. here are important information: http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=2323
i'm a really big pearl jam fan so to me their cover is the greatest. like ed said 'they did really well with teenage death songs'...
