From Your Lips To My Lungs Lyrics

My final masterpiece will begin
Here in this bed tonight
Your skin like keys, silky and white
[And I the pianist to play]
But as the climax of love
And the blindness of hope precedes
Tonight I give into thee

Your lips breathe life
And it brings me to my knees

Tonight I give myself to you
[Here I am, here I am in the flesh]
If it's the only way to live
[If there's no way, no way that we can't]
Swallow our pride once again
[And if not, take this knife]
And say hello to the end
[The End]

[And I the pianist to play]
But as the climax of love

Your words give me
The oxygen to breathe
Your words give me
The oxygen to breathe

Cover art for From Your Lips To My Lungs lyrics by Farewell to Arms

Allrite so in my opinion, this song is the best track on the Catherine Barkley album. The song is obviously about a guy's love for a girl. He feels unworthy and the girl is literally breathtaking. However, she gives him the breath he needs to go on, and it makes him feel so much more weak and unworthy to her.
