Wild Horses Lyrics

(Rolling Stones cover)

Childhood living
Is easy to do
The things you wanted
Well I bought them for you

Graceless lady
You know who I am
You know I can't let you
Just slide through my hands

And wild horses couldn't drag me away
And wild horses couldn't drag me away

I watched you suffer
A dull, aching pain
And now you've decided
To show me the same

No sweeping exits
Or offstage lines
Could make me feel bitter
Or treat you unkind

And wild horses couldn't drag me away, oh and
And wild horses couldn't drag me away

I know I dreamt you
A sin and a lie
I have my freedom
But I don't have much time

Faith has been suffered
And tears must be cried
So let's do some living
After we die

And wild horses couldn't drag me away, oh and
And wild horses couldn't drag me away, oh and
And wild horses couldn't drag me away, oh and
And wild horses couldn't drag me away
No, couldn't drag me away

i was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this one? i've always wondered that, the lyrics all seem kind of strange but i like the song anyway. she can make her voice amazingly high but pretty.

You have to think of this song as if a male was singing it b/c it's a Rolling Stones song! I think it's about a desperately unstable ("graceless") girl who constantly jeopardizes a relationship w/ a guy and almost tortures him in a way. But he loves and her and "wild horses couldn't drag him away" from her b/c he loves her so much.
