In Only Seven Days Lyrics

Monday, the start of my holiday
Freedom for just one week
Feels good to get away, oooh ooh
Tueday, saw her down on the beach
I stood and watched a while
And she looked and smiled at me
Wednesday, I didn't see her
I hoped that she'd be back tomorrow
And then on Thursday, my life got changed
She stood there all alone
I went and asked her name
I never thought that this could happen to me in only seven days
It would take a hundred or more for memories to fade

I wish Friday would last forever
I held her close to me
I couldn't bare to leave her there
Saturday, just twenty four hours
Oh no, I'm going back home on Sunday

I'm so sad
Alone

Great song by Deacon. It's about meeting a girl in one week. It's a short love story... it ends sad though!

I don't belive no one comment about this music! It's so sweet! I love the way Deacon was allways so simple in writing his love songs, just look at "You're my best friend" or "One year of love". This music allways makes me remember my last Summer crush!

"In Seven Days" is indeed a great song. I absolutely adore Freddie's vocal performance on this one.....he sounds lovely.

What I didn't get was, were they hooking up on Friday, or is it truly intended as a sentimental love song? The song is so sentimental, it kind of implies something suggestive. And also, the narrator of the song struck me as being slightly stalker-ish. I mean, he sees this hot babe on the beach and he's "holding her close to him" only three days later........

I think it can be interpreted either way. I prefer to think of it as just a sentimental love song.

I don't think the guy was a stalker, because the girl obviously reciprocated the affection. Yeah, they're moving pretty quickly, but that doesn't make him stalker-like, especially since it sounds like he's not going to track her down after he goes home.
