Happy (Without Me) Lyrics

I put the knife in my heart. I don't remember to bite, over and over. My hands forever tied down watching your smile float by. I'm left over.

I don't want you to be happy without me

I'm sick inside of this cell that I have put myself in, over and over. they say these moments will pass, but what will I become then? One less soldier. One dead soldier.

I'll always be a minor chord filled with endless sustain. I'll give you everything I am if you want it. Do you want it?

One dead soldier...

This came off the band's myspace (myspace.com/residentheromusic) & I just thought it should be here. "i call this song the career ender. it's that fucking song that everyone always wants to hear. i mean, i do appreciate that, but if it came out first we'd be deep blue something. i wrote this one as a prediction to the end of a relationship. the thing that kills me is that people sing it so passionately and sweetly, but it's such a selfish song."
