Yes... not every single Maynard song is about religion. Having someone who has been doing wrong against you, then finally realizing the truth. They are the ones who where wrong. Therfore making it ... easy to murder your sweet memory.
This song is very easy to understand.. Some just like to make more things more complicated than they really are.
It's not a "scrap song". It's on par with Rev 22:20. Great lyrics/music. All in all I think it's about taking someone down with you. Falling together, or in this case (bury). Curious to hear the original version. Need more Puscifer!!
It is about your average, run of the mill, sociopath. There's quite a few out there, emotional vampires, leeches. This isn't the only song I've heard from him that addresses this. Sorry he had to deal with it, but it's all what you do with it, and damn it makes for good music.
It's about somebody finally reaching the last straw in a relationship. A final betrayal there's no coming back from. There's problems that have been going on for a long time, and singer has been pulling the other out of the fire over and over again. But this final betrayal, this last deception and gaslighting that was "way out of line" was the last straw, that finally lets him get past the memories of the good times (murder your sweet memory). He's cutting them off; done with it. It's over; there's no going back. He's not going to seek vengeance, because the other is doing a fine job of destroying themselves already. For payback, he's just going to stand there to watch and judge as they inevitably fall again. No more help, no more revives. "I told you so".
This is probably a scrap song left over from the original Underworld soundtrack. Don't go jumping ahead thinking they'll be a full length Puscifer album or anything. But I guess it's still a possibility...

What no more comments. Well I think the song is really great. The lyrics are incredible. It has a real NIN feel to it which I like. Maynard's voice still sounds amazing but very, very different.
I love this song. I finally just got it yesterday.
As for Puscifer doing anything, it's a sheer possibility. Puscifer.com is up with nothing but merchandise and a shitty logo. Does that mean more music, or is it just another one of Maynard's head games? Time will tell I guess.
