Child of Nature Lyrics

On the road to Rishikesh
I was dreaming more or less
And the dream I had was true
Yes, the dream I had was true

I'm just a child of nature
I don't need much to set me free
I'm just child of nature
I'm one of nature's children

Sunlight shining in your eyes
As I face the desert skies
And my thoughts return to home
Yes, my thoughts return to home

I'm just a child of nature
I don't need much to set me free
I'm just a child of nature
I'm one nature's children

Underneath the mountain ranges
Where the wind that never changes
Touch the windows of my soul
Touch the windows of my soul

I'm just a child of nature
I don't need much to set me free
I'm just a child of nature
I'm one of nature's children

John Lennon changed the lyrics to Jealous guy and a big success. In the Album "The Beatles(White Album)" this song was replaced by "Mother Nature's Son".

Nice Spanish guitar sound on the bootleg...I think John felt the Maharishi-inspired lyrics were too tame and also John resented the Maharishi after the India trip; the melody was put to good use on "Jealous Guy."

could McCatney have sued Lennon for releasing this song w/ different lyrics, without pail's name on it?

If John wrote this alone and then chooses to re-write then it has nothing to do with Paul. By 1968 John and Paul were little more than a sounding board for each others songs. A verse here, a chorus there or perhaps just a line altered.
