Woot! First comment! Okay. Anyways. I really love this song. It's the only one I can really remember from when I saw them in concert and fell in love. (Also met half the band, but that's not the point.) This song sounds to me like a guy talking to an ex-girlfriend who he still loves. They broke up because she didn't think he was good enough for her. He's saying one day he'll be perfect and therefore good enough to win her back.
Man I love this song. I'm surprised to see other people on this site that like army of me. WOOT! Im actually kinda bummed to be honest, that they are moving to columbia records. I'll miss my little indie DC band. I just hope they dont become the next fall out boy- they're too good for that. As for the song lyrics I agree with you. I listen to this song at least once a day. I think he's talking about a past relationship with a girl to said girl. And the reason they broke up is "Things Changed" and she didn't see in him what she had seen in the past.
