I just want to thank you
For all of the things you've done
I'm thinking about you
I just want to send my love
I send my best to you
That's my message of love
For all the things you did
I can never thank you enough
Feel like I'm falling
Falling off the face of the earth
Falling off the face of the earth
(Falling)
Feel like I'm falling
Falling off the face of the earth
Falling off the face of the earth
Oh...
I just want to tell you
You sure mean a lot to me
It may sound simple
But you are the world to me
It's such a precious thing
That time we shared together
I must apologize
For the troubled times
Feel like I'm falling
Falling off the face of the earth
(Falling)
Feel like I'm falling
Falling off the face of the earth
Falling off the face of the earth
Oh...
Feel like I'm falling
Falling off the face of the earth
Falling off the face of the earth
(Falling)
Falling off the face of the earth
(Falling)
Feel like I'm falling
Falling off the face of the earth
(Falling)
Feel like I'm falling
Falling off the face of the earth
(Falling)
For all of the things you've done
I'm thinking about you
I just want to send my love
I send my best to you
That's my message of love
For all the things you did
I can never thank you enough
Feel like I'm falling
Falling off the face of the earth
Falling off the face of the earth
(Falling)
Feel like I'm falling
Falling off the face of the earth
Falling off the face of the earth
Oh...
I just want to tell you
You sure mean a lot to me
It may sound simple
But you are the world to me
It's such a precious thing
That time we shared together
I must apologize
For the troubled times
Feel like I'm falling
Falling off the face of the earth
(Falling)
Feel like I'm falling
Falling off the face of the earth
Falling off the face of the earth
Oh...
Feel like I'm falling
Falling off the face of the earth
Falling off the face of the earth
(Falling)
Falling off the face of the earth
(Falling)
Feel like I'm falling
Falling off the face of the earth

My favorite song on Prairie Wind. Love those high pitched vocals. Great stuff.
lordy lordy, this man is incredible. the high pitched vocals are amazing. i think everyone knows this feeling and its incredible to listen to neil sing about it. i can't give the man enough praise.
I will go as far as to say one of the best neil young songs out there...Hes emotion is just there you almost want to cry
After I pass away, I plan to leave a copy of this song for my oldest friend as a way of thanking him for his friendship over the decades. He'll understand that I've been dying for a long time.
This song has more meaning to me than any other Neil song. My own father was diagnosed with a terminal illness around the same time Neil lost his father. This song is Neil thanking his father for everything he has done to support his life and his career."Feel like I'm falling, falling off the face of the earth". He is saying his world will never be the same without his father being here. The prairie wind CD is a reflection of neils childhood and his dedication to family. The Heart of Gold DVD was released the week before fathersday. I believe Neil planned it that way. It was his way of paying tribute to his dad.
This song makes me vary emotional. I have since lost my own father to pancreatic cancer. My world will never be the same. I thank Neil for this song. In it he expresses the same message I gave my own father. I was able to retire and spend the last few years of my fathers life with him and helping with his care.
I must now back away from tear stained keyboard. Thank you Neil !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Neil's music lives right on the thin tight-rope line between etherial spirituality and sensual physicality. Wheras The Doors, for instance, are much more on the physical side, and Bob Dylan, who I admit I like better than Neil Young, but for different reasons, is more on the side of the physical, or external. Somebody commented once, I read in Neil's autobiography "Shakey", that "Neil writes what's on the inside, Dylan writes everything around him". And that's true. But Neil's poetry is in that it isn't just "I'm happy" or "I'm sad" or "love me" or "this is what I feel" he creates a collage of his inner world using images from the outer world, archetypes and stereotypes and pop-artish images that create this very surreal and fantastic world. This is a great song.
