He Lives in You (The Lion King II: Simba's Pride) Lyrics

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala [Here is a lion and a tiger]

Night
And the spirit of life
Calling

Oh, oh, iyo
Mamela [Listen]
Oh, oh, iyo

And a voice
With the fear of a child
Answers

Oh, oh, iyo
Oh, mamela [Listen]
Oh, oh, iyo

Ubukhosi bo khokho [Throne of the ancestors]
We ndodana ye sizwe sonke [Oh, son of the nation)]

Wait
There's no mountain too great
Oh, oh, iyo
Hear these words and have faith
Oh, oh, iyo
Have faith

Hela hey mamela [Hey, listen]

(Chorus:)
He lives in you
He lives in me
He watches over
Everything we see
Into the water
Into the truth
In your reflection
He lives in you

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala
(repeat)

(repeat third verse)

(repeat chorus)

The old "Ingonyama nengw' enamabala" means 'the lion and the leopard' (I think it was in reference to 'how they're all part of the Circle of Life' back in Lion King 1).

Actually, I think that's a typo. "Ingonyama nengw' enamabala" WAS in the first one (and maybe still at the beginning of this one), but the phrase they repeat in THIS one was "Hela hey mamela, hela hey mamela," meaning 'hey hey listen, hey but listen.'

"Ubukhosi bo khokho We ndodana ye sizwe sonke" means 'The royalty Son of the whole nation'

Does anyone know what language that's in? I've heard it might be either Swahili or Zulu, but Africa's a big continent and there are a lot of languages there.

@kayla11160 It's in Zulu.
