The Wait Lyrics
It's not "Car", but that's an impossible standard..
This is up there among my favorite songs from the new album though. I love that idea that places true satisfaction as something that is never reached..
This reminds me a lot of Isaac Brock's stuff, namely "The World at Large". Good song.
My favorite song off the new (upcoming) album.
Great song. I believe it's "something that'll make the waiting worth the wait" though, not someone.
I love this song! It's pretty much about never truly being satisfied with anything... especially in a romantic relationship
brilliant
You wait, You wait, You wait for summer then you wait for rain, You wait, You wait, You wait for darkness then you wait for day, You wait, You wait, You wait,
And she says patience darling, patience, patience, it will come
You wait, You wait, You wait for Autumn then you wait for May, You wait, You wait, You wait together, then you wait to play You wait, You wait, You wait for something that’ll make the waiting worth the wait, You wait, You wait,
And she says patience darling, patience, patience, it will come
I am pretty sure they have sampled and messed with the sounds from an ultrasound machine, it is clearly the sound of blood rushing through a heart valve at the end. They are waiting for an act of God which is beautifully played out in the climactic ending.
I was having a conversation with my compadre about how people always want the opposite of what they have. This is my new favorite song.
Like most BTS songs there's a simple theme and ambiguity embedded in the lyrics so it could mean just about anything. Having said that, it seems like it's a song to a child, especially with the August and May references...the two months kids get out and have to go back to school. It's a lesson kids are taught early but have to keep relearning throughout life.
good point, supposablethumbs. I hadn't thought of that but it makes perfect sense. You wait to grow up, you wait for what you want, but just be patient.
