my favourite line.. most of her songs are pretty self-explanatory.. but i just love the lyrics and her chilled voice..
I always thought the line "we're good people but why don't we show it?" was meant to be about how in their relationship neither of them are trying to be the better person, not giving enough and having bikering arguments etc (from the stop threatening to leave line).
interesting take, amberbreath. i heard this live the other night in philly, and she sings it really passionately. i agree, though, that basically the relatonship doesn't bring out the best in them.
