Couple of corrections. First, Evalicious, the lyrics are "like understanding", i'm not sure what "black understanding" would mean. Also, it's "on the lonely search for truth", instead of "all alone in search for truth". Great song! The whole album is unbelievable. I also agree with musicology that the song is sort of about coming out of depression and moving on with your life.

I swear it is like understanding, not black under standing. I listened to it slowed down a few times and at normal speed. I stand with expertec on this one.

See, I've always thought this song was about escaping a dependant, stressful relationship (not neccessarily a romantic one).

This cong is clearly about coming out of depression, all the influences in the world that can cause depression. Hence out of the darkness of dpression into the colour of the world. An uplifting song.

I love this part. To me this part means that the questions/ secrets of life are to heavy to think about, and could bring you down. In the search for truth you' ll find more questionmarks, but no answers. So 'cut the crap' it's time to move on.

These lyrics are most definitely about depression 'nothings going right today, cos nothing ever does' ... sums its up entirely really and its well documented that Richard himself has suffered from depression a lot in life. God Mr Ashcroft you are such a genius song writer.
