A Page Is Turned Lyrics
With a world to conquer at the age of ten
But as history unfolds and the storybook is told
He finds salvation but not at the hands of man
Picked him up and He let him dance
Through a world that is not kind
And all this time, preparing him, the one
To hold him up when he comes undone
Beneath the storm, beneath the sun
And now a man, here you stand
Your day has come
With a heart that's bigger, as it is unfurled
By the language in her soul, that's teaching her to grow
With a careful cover of love that will not fail
Picked her up and He let her dance
Through a world that is not kind
And all this time, preparing her the one
To hold her up when she comes undone
Beneath the storm, beneath the sun
And grown up tall, here you are
Your day has come
And warm within the ardor, she took his heart instead
And high upon the mountain, he asked her for her hand
Just for her hand
And there is no secret to the source of this much life
When the grace that falls like rain is washing them again
Just a chance to somehow rise above this land
Will pick them up and he'll let them dance
Through a world that is not kind
And all this time, they're sharing with the one
That holds them up when they come undone
Beneath the storm, beneath the sun
And once again, here you stand
And once again, here you stand
Your day has come
The is the story of a boy and a girl who are found and saved by Christ as children and prepared for each other as they grow up. It expounds on Genesis 2:24.
Verse 1: A description of the boy. His "curly grin" is a pair of dimples.
Verse 2: The boy grows up.
Verse 3: A description of the girl. Her heart is compared to a rose nourished by Scripture and the love of God.
Verse 4: The girl grows up.
Verse 5: In a romantic dance, she captures his hand (loyalty) and then his heart (love) and yields her own hand.
Verse 6: They get married and the marriage is blessed by God. Their combined strength in Christ gives them a chance to make a positive impact.
Verse 7: A prediction of the fruits of their marriage. Just as they are mutual soul-mates, God is each spouse's soul-mate (or spirit-mate, if you will) via mankind's trinitarian nature. Then we come back to the present - the day of the wedding.
My future wedding song. A great song showing God's grace on two people. Beautiful.
Will someone please explain the meaning of this song to me. alancampo@yahoo.com
