Joseph's Lullaby Lyrics
Go to sleep my son
This manger for your bed
You have a long road before you
Rest your little head
Can you feel the weight of your glory
Do you understand the price
Or does the Father guard your heart for now
So you can sleep tonight
Go to sleep my son
Go and chase your dreams
This world can wait for one more moment
Go and sleep in peace
I believe the glory of heaven
Is lying in my arms tonight
But Lord I ask that He for just this moment
Simply be my child
Go to sleep my son
Baby close your eyes
Soon enough you’ll save the day
But for now dear child of mine
Oh my Jesus sleep tight
This manger for your bed
You have a long road before you
Rest your little head
Do you understand the price
Or does the Father guard your heart for now
So you can sleep tonight
Go and chase your dreams
This world can wait for one more moment
Go and sleep in peace
Is lying in my arms tonight
But Lord I ask that He for just this moment
Simply be my child
Baby close your eyes
Soon enough you’ll save the day
But for now dear child of mine
Oh my Jesus sleep tight

I think the meaning is self-explanatory, given the song title, lyrics, and artist background.
While I'm unfamiliar with the origin of this piece I feel that it is important to note that it can be told that this song [at least in this form] definitely was not created by Joseph.
My evidence for this is the last line, which ends in "sleep tight." Sleep tight is an expression which originated in the western world well after Christ's time in reference to the then contemporary bedding which required regular tightening of ropes as routine maintanance. In Christ's in Palestine it was common practice to sleep on what we would now call a mat.
Of course that doesn't take away the enjoyment of the song, for me...
I LOVE THIS SONG! So Beautiful<3
