Orchestrate The Infinite Lyrics

Affecting all of universe with my mind
Through my will
Solar systems live and die

Omnipotence in a world of limits
Omniscient, stars will fall
On my command

But those who live within this world
Find ways to label me
Godhood or devilry

Collision as a spark of me entered flesh
Still I keep the ability to form
Until the day I leave my cage
I design this world in my image

What I create I can destroy
Stars fall on my command
Tomorrow's in my hand
I'm the grand orchestrator
In finite form and the infinte design
Beyond wings and horns I am
In wordless thought
Orchestrate the infinite

With focus on the things
Certain to face death
My essence will elude you 'til you die

Omnipotence has no beginning
Omniscience has no end
It can't be grasped

But those who live within this world
Find ways to label me
Godhood or devilry
I'm the grand orchestrator
In finite form and the infinte design
Beyond wings and horns I am
In wordless thought
Orchestrate the infinite
Orchestrate the infinite

Orchestrate the infinite
No horns and no crown of thorns
Will fit on me

On a field where the judgement
And all the pain you feel
Can no longer reach you
In the silence existing
Between your every thoughts
This is where I'll meet you

But those who live within this world
Find ways to label me
Godhood or devilry
I'm the grand orchestrator
In finite form and the infinte design
Beyond wings and horns I am
In wordless thought
Orchestrate the infinite
Orchestrate the infinite

Orchestrate the infinite
No horns and no crown of thorns
Will fit on me

I think this song is talking about conscience or something like that within the mind. I guess the part that gives it away for me...

In the silence existing Between your every thoughts This is where I'll meet you

Conscience seems to appear in the silence between your thoughts etc. The rest of the lyrics seem to fit this too...

But those who live within this world Find ways to label me Godhood or devilry

Conscience is labelled as 'God' where it tells you to do something good and is also labelled as the 'Devil' where it tells you to do something bad...kinda ironic when you think about it!

Anyway it's a great song and is really thought-provoking like most of the songs from Scar Symmetry.

When I first read the lyrics to this song, i instantly thought of the Futurama where bender meets god while flying through space after trying to play god. when he meets "god" its speaking in binary and its basically just a galaxy of floating matter, or space and dust.

Affecting all of universe with my mind Through my will Solar systems live and die

Omnipotence in a world of limits Omniscient, stars will fall On my command

But those who live within this world Find ways to label me Godhood or devilry

This line to me is basically what made me think of that futurama episode because people give labels to what they think is god, a man on a cloud with a big white beard when its even more likely it's some kind of consciousnesses flying through space, affecting everything in some way. Basically a grand orchestrator somewhere out there that is orchestrating everything, past present and future and therefore the infinite. It almost seems like a straight blow at religion, because people find ways to label what they think is god or holy when its more likely that its something that we can never understand, a grand orchestrator somewhere out there. I love this song, probably one my scar symmetry favorites. pure genius. I do also agree with minis zer0, people have speculated that god is just a consciousness within our minds. very trippy.

This song makes me think of an omnipresent creator. The universe to me points to evidence of a supreme creator. This song in my mind points out these facts. It also makes this creator sound beyond the understanding of humans. This is shown when it says "no horns, no crown of thorns will fit on me" and I agree with this to an extent. Being a believer in Christianity and Intelligent design, this song seems to echo a lot of my beliefs.

These guys write some incredible lyrics in their music. They make you think about deep things and improve your state of mind. The only group other group that I have found to do this well is Tool. The fact that these guys can compete with such an incredible band like Tool in this manner, is definitely something worth noticing. This band is definitely one of my all time favorites.

I think that this song isn't about a creator in general, but ourselves and the infinite power of our minds; we ARE the creator ("Omnipotence in a world of limits / Omniscient, stars will fall / On my command"). We create the universe we experience, and, even though our brains are finite, the ideas and the potential power is infinite, and you can't just surrender all this power to some religious entity, because it's so much more than that ("I'm the grand orchestrator / In finite form and the infinite design / Beyond wings and horns I am / In wordless thought / Orchestrate the infinite"). The only way to reach this is to let go of the affairs outside of our head: our fears, anxieties, and pain of the real world are hindering our ability to live to our full potential ("On a field where the judgement / And all the pain you feel / Can no longer reach you / In the silence existing / Between your every thoughts / This is where I'll meet you").
