Air Pollution Lyrics
i once adored a chemical reaction
her eyes were made from pieces of the moon
but now i fight the angels for a halo
she feels that she has nothing left to prove
we once owned dreams of being something useful
a sword someone would keep at their side
a friction that would spark a revolution
a radio in tune with the sky
well we tried
now everyone can share what's left
we can share a breath
we can share the air pollution
and we can all control the sun
that's what we'll become
you'll become a resolution
oh i adore a chemical reaction
her features look just like my disguise
we see the world through identical lenses
so i never ask what's going through her mind
it's mine
now everyone can share what's left
we can share a breath
we can share the air pollution
and we can all control the sun
that's what we'll become
you'll become a resolution
now everyone can share what's left
we can share a breath
we can share the air pollution
and we can all control the sun
that's what we'll become
you'll become a resolution
her eyes were made from pieces of the moon
but now i fight the angels for a halo
she feels that she has nothing left to prove
a sword someone would keep at their side
a friction that would spark a revolution
a radio in tune with the sky
we can share a breath
we can share the air pollution
and we can all control the sun
that's what we'll become
you'll become a resolution
her features look just like my disguise
we see the world through identical lenses
so i never ask what's going through her mind
we can share a breath
we can share the air pollution
and we can all control the sun
that's what we'll become
you'll become a resolution
now everyone can share what's left
we can share a breath
we can share the air pollution
and we can all control the sun
that's what we'll become
you'll become a resolution

earth day anthem? this is a pretty song any day. not quite sure what this song means other than the obvious 'earth' tones. Maybe a relationship going bad, but the narrator refuses to break up and rather share whatever they have left nomatter how bad(pollution) it is for both of them. far stretch?
Its a 'sort someone would keep at thier side' isnt it. And its about a guy who falls in love with a girl who wants to leave earth (die?) 'but now i fight the angels for a halo she feels that she has nothing left to prove' and its talking about how much everyone wanted to be something big when we're younger and then our dreams die and we become nothing really, 'resolutions'
acid
i think the "chemical reaction" is saying that it wasnt love between him and a girl, just a chemical reaction.
