Parting Gift Lyrics
you make me faint but you are worth it
id walk you home if you ask it
its such a shame that she never took the blame
shes never coming round to me
you step on your cigarette
rumour has you deserve it
whos to blame that shes never coming back
shes never coming back to me
please come back to me
before i drown
this is my parting gift for you
this is my last my last chance to be true
before i get older
before you get older
this is my parting gift for you
this is my last chance to be true
before i get older
before you get older
this is my parting gift for you
this is my last chance to be true
before i get older
before you get older
and i drown
id walk you home if you ask it
its such a shame that she never took the blame
shes never coming round to me
rumour has you deserve it
whos to blame that shes never coming back
shes never coming back to me
please come back to me
before i drown
this is my last my last chance to be true
before i get older
before you get older
this is my parting gift for you
this is my last chance to be true
before i get older
before you get older
this is my parting gift for you
this is my last chance to be true
before i get older
before you get older
and i drown

Omg! Why are there no comments on this song?! You people have some explaining to do! This song is one of ... if not thee best song on the album!!!!
i agree with fairy of ice where the hell are all the comments it is one of the most beautiful inme songs me is shocked about 1 comment. this song to me is just about breaking up or letting someone go, its not bitter or aportioning blame on her, he just feels he has to let her go because its for the best, it is a v. sweet song if you think that its meant to ber about break ups :)
This song is so gorgeous :)
I've a feeling it's somehow connected with 'Chamber' given they overlap a little (with my music player, the end of Chamber is just as Dave sits down and clears his throat, and then Parting Gift is a seperate song) so perhaps this is redemption? Chamber for me feels like a relationship that he is/has been a part of, but he feels he doesn't give enough to the girl and that he doesn't deserve her/she deserves better. So this in my mind has been a way of him showing her just what she means to him before something terrible happens, like the end of the relationship.
