Wish I Was Dead, Pt. 2 Lyrics

I want to hear drums and my heart's a drum.
I guess we never know what to become.
Well I didn't know that this was such a problem.
It's gonna get better when we solve them.

I try to try to lose my head
But I wish wish wish that you were always here
And I try to try to lose my head
But I wish wish wish that I was dead.

I'm on birthday cards and on a big trip.
If this wouldn't happen then I'd bite my lip.
But I didn't know that this was such a problem.
It's gonna get better when we solve them.

And I try to try to lose my head
And I wish wish wish that you were always here.
And I try to try to lose my head
And I wish wish wish that I was dead...
But I didn't know that this was such a problem.
It's gonna get better when we solve them.

Wa wa wa and I try to try to lose my head
And I wish wish wish that you were always here
And I try to try to lose my head
And I wish wish wish that I was dead...

i cant beleive noones posted. this is an awesom song its really mellow but its got a good beat. i think of it like it being about after you break up and your still friends or more then friends and you miss them and you still want them and you try to get angry but you cant because you like them too much. i guess in the begining hes saying he wants to know what he wants and what his hearts saying "I want to hear drums and my heart's a drum. I guess we never know what to become."

i think it's all to easy to think of songs as being about breakups because it's been done so often. it could certainly apply to this song but it seems to me that this is written from the point of view of a child missing their parents. this is based on 'I'm on birthday cards and on a big trip'... just seems very childish and the 'wa wa wa'.

Actually, the original version of the song was released in 2003 on the Scandinavian version of Howl Howl Gaff Gaff. For the international version "sound is the word", "Wish I was dead", "end up behind", "never ever" and "my friend and the ink on his fingers" were replaced by "oh, sweetheart", "a track and a train", "go sadness", "hurry up let's go" and "seagull". I've got both albums.

ok well just like fyi: the oc has very good songs on their album, obviously because this is one of them..so 'unfortunately'? i don't think so.... but yes i love this song. i feel like it's about love, but no one except the artist can be for sure i guess. but i love it and it is deep and mellow and catchy!!

This song is about attempting not to think about what's bothering you, and how it ultimately takes so much effort that in the end you feel, yes, that it would be easier to die.

I want to say that this is more about love, but the childhood theory is definitely interesting. Kudos for thinking outside of the box.

The O.C. mixes host a variety of obscure music. This particular one included Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek" and Stars' "Your Ex-lover is Dead", personally, two of my favorite songs. It can't be all that unfortunate, eh?
