I really like this song, heard it the other night and thought it was really nice!

I think the meaning of this song is fairly obvious: a guy is being rejected by the women in his life so he thinks his love is rotten. Oh how I love this song...

This song: is in a minor key has pleasant sound that is "really nice" (to me Regina is the melody) is somewhat disheartening lyricaly(or at least for James)

Actually, a couple of my friends are named Regina and James..the song really fits them in a way. Maybe that is why I like it so much. Regardless, I enjoy this song.

this is james and regina's breakup song! ahh i get so sad for james... this song is really amazing though. I don't know when exactly regina cheated on him, but when he plays it you can hear hurt in his voice. It sucks because I am a huge regina fan, thinking she can do no wrong, when i found out she was in a relationship with james levy and had sex with julian from the strokes!

I found out! when regina went on tour with the strokes (the tour ROOM ON FIRE in 2003). well like I said old breakup, but the song will always stay fresh. breakup songs are the worst, but the best. in the song, there is a part of a phone conversation of them. from what i deciphered it is james' answering machine. he answering machine says " Hello, this is James, I can't get to the phone right now, cause I'm occupied..." Then Regina (I think) says "oh god!" over the phone, her voice sounds sorry and drunk. I love james, regina, and julian. but fuck julian for sleeping w/ her.

he's being rejected by different women because he's not sincere and they can tell. Rotten love is no love at all. Maybe he just wants sex.
