Murdered in the Mosh Lyrics

This song goes out to all the fakers
You all know who you are
It started with a girl
Kept turning her nose up at my band
She's into Yellow Card, Blink and Simple Plan

It's so pathetic

She's into Jane's Addiction
But she don't know their songs
And I fall over laughing when she tries to sing along
She thinks that she's so "emo"
Next week she'll be a "goth"
It all amounts to nothing
She gets murdered in the mosh

One night I crashed at her apartment
Her Sonic Youth cd's were nowhere to be seen
Instead, all I found was a letter
Her correspondence with some pop star magazine

It's so pathetic

She's into Jane's Addiction
But she don't know their songs
And I fall over laughing when she tries to sing along
She thinks that she's so "emo"
Next week she'll be a "goth"
It all amounts to nothing
She gets murdered in the mosh

Sometimes I wonder what goes on inside her mind
When she said she though
Dave Grohl had died and Kurt Cobain was still alive
Just go to concerts that you love
Cos there's no shame in liking Backstreet Boys

She's into Jane's Addiction
But she don't know their songs
And I fall over laughing when she tries to sing along
She thinks that she's so "emo"
Next week she'll be a "goth"
It all amounts to nothing
She gets murdered in the mosh

This song goes out to all the fakers
Out to the critics and haters
This song goes out to all the fakers
You all know who you are
Give it up
Your friends will find out
Now or later
Time foe change
Just be yourself
Don't be a faker

wow how hypocrytical are these lyrics...teehee what a larf! they are not worthy to mention Kurt Cobains or Dave Grohls names.

That's not fair. These guys are inspired by some of the best bands in history. I think they are making a good point in this song by saying that people shouldnt try and pretend to be something they're not. They're inspired by Kurt Cobains and Dave Grohls music! Of course they're worthy to sing their names

I agree with ifyourcuteimsingle and what makes you think your worthy to mention their names? Have you done anything better then Son Of Dork?

why do they NOT have the right to mention their names? i think this is a great song, cause it reminds me of some people i know. they follow all the "trends". they think it's cool. it's really not, it annoys me. what happened to being who you want to be??

agreed. =] just because a band sounds crappy to you, doesn't mean they don't get influenced by legendary bands or not mention them,

alright so the song is basically about labels. a girl wants to be part of what she thinks is the cool crowd, when she listens to bands like the backstreet boys, she claims she knows some songs by janes addiction but she doesn't and that her friends are going to find out bla bla bla you get the point.

just be yourself. x]

cool song but to whoever put the lyrics here its YELLOWCARD not YELLOW CARD, there's no space between yellow and card ok?

MUSIC IS FACT NOT OPINION. Why are you even looking up the lyrics if you don't like the band? Really? Come on.

Either way, this song makes me laugh, and it's quite catchy. it's also got a good message, in my opinion. If you're going to claim to know a band, at least look up the lyrics or something, lol.

I dont really like Son Of Dork... as in the main melody or the singers or the general music but i gotta admit i DO love their lyrics
