i find this funny cos they're making fun of a boyband but they are a flippin' boyband! ha!

completely true. these days people seem to think that if you like metal, or hardcore: you can't like pop, or punk, etc.

i don't think this song is about son of dork themselves.. it was written by james Bourne who was a member of Busted before they split up and then started son of dork. During the busted-hype in the uk they were often called boyband and had lots of trouble because of that the line "Good Chalotte said they like McFly Is half their fanbase gonna cry?" refers to mcfly who were friends with busted, especially mates of james. They pretty much go through the same thing right now as busted did a few years ago. the first part could also include experiences james made in his time of busted ..he talks about some things being fake and the guys being forced to do certain things to fit their image. another aspect which could be important to understand those lyrics is that james himself is a big fan of boybands like backstreet boys.. he has often complained about being juged for that so what do you think of that?
This is sooooo unbelieveably cheeeeesy but it's pretty cool.. I understand why the metalheads dislike s.o.d though they are pretty lame lol. McFLY all the waaay! They know how to write good tunes.
