This song is about fans of bands who take their fandom too far. I guess you get a lot of knowledge about people from their interviews and their more personal songs and it's often easy to cross the line and think you know that person (and forget that they may not be writing those songs in the first person). You know liked Eminem said in that song he wrote about Phil Collins ? That's the super fan. Obsessive, overbearing and outoftheirmind. Kind of like the opposite of "Killing me Softly with his song" you know ?

Anyway, I met David Lowery and he was like really cool.
