I think this song is about repeated emphasis on a certain string section that Sufjan feels may not have been heard all the way out in Bushnell, Ill.
Cornerstone, a major Christian music festival, is held in Bushnell, Illinois, every year.
I attend C-stone, and when I saw this title it definitely made me think of the fest. what other claim can bushnell make? hah

I'm sure it's what he's referring to. Nothing else happens in Bushnell. The town comes alive for the week of Cornerstone.
