Sunset Superman

I think that the song talk about what we are on ours dreams, that we are all superheros in ours sleeps and when we wake up we are only SUNSET SUPERMAN back to reality ... screaming.

This being a song right after Dream Evil, I think that the morning light is what DIO is describing as the Sunset Superman. If you think about it like this; you are dreaming bad sh*t all night and when the "creatures" are about to "eat you", you suddenly wake up by the sunlight shining through your room window saving you from the Evil Dream :).

The song overall is cool, I like it even though it doesn't get good reviews. DIO saying Sunset Superman too many times may seem repititive but for me it sounds like the cymbal clashing "tss-tss-tssuperman" which is really inventive!

"Sunset" in its adjective and verb form can mean to terminate. I haven't figured the rest out yet.

I think it's about the hope we all have during the day and night. We fail, and then we feel just like Superman when he doesn't save anyone, or is too late to save someone. So, we have these dreams at night-as we hope for a better tomorrow-but sometimes the tomorrow doesn't turn out any better and our minds can get stuck in this loop. I guess the "being" mentioned (going where eyes can't see) can be the Devil or God, depending on how we see things on that particular day, or how we can change our attitudes to see things positively or negatively.

It ain't about Superman. In that case, the truth is that just anybody can't.

You may think I'm crazy but to me this song is about Batman/Bruce Wayne

I think it's about feeling safe before we go to sleep and then just completely break down in fear during the night and waking up and not fully grasping what happened during our sleep and shrug it off saying it was a dream.
