An Owl with Knees Lyrics
Eat rye straw
Leave, withdraw
Drink ink tea
Stay with me
Fame stay shy
By way of why
Wait, lie low
Old ones' odd odes
Read. Read on
Read, read on
Breathe, be calm
You're gone, gone on
it's strange to see how time agrees to slow down for owls with knees.

owlsey stanely, in the mid 60's was the largest producer of LSD in america. He was freinds sound producer for the grateful dead and had freinds from ken kesey to timothy leary and most people in between. whether or not this would count as an owl with knees i couldn't posibly know, but it does fit into the lsd theory nicely and he's a person, sop he has knees
Owls don't have knees.
"Strange to see how time agrees to slow down for owls with knees." = Time slows for no one.
Breathe and be calm because before you know it you're gone.

eat rye straw? like, maybe, ergot of rye? or perhaps a specific substance synthesized from an alkaloid derived from said ergot? and i can definitely think of a certain inky substance that i've had in tea before. anyone following me? trippy song.
definitely tripping song.. "Breathe, be calm/You're gone, gone on" like mentally gone. then the alteration of time kicks in: you dont know where you are, who you are, when you are. real trippy.
Yea I agree fiddle. Friends and I always ask if we're "gone" to measure how fucked up we are. The part about time slowing down is accurate as well. I'm trying to figure out if "owl with knees" means anything. It's not an abbreviation of any drug i know of so IDK :/

it's owsley, not owlsey. but that is an outstanding speculation, juswah!
I think it's "Eat dry straw," actually
i listened to the song again, curious about rye vs. dry, and found that you can really hear nick revvin up that R. it's so rye.
