Where Cedar Nouns and Adverbs Walk Lyrics

very time we meet it’s always love and wine
The trees make our bathetic talk
Where cedar nouns and adverbs walk
With beetles as the backup band, the flightless cheering in their stands
The empty swing sets hushed reprise makes that first language thick as spies.

Let’s relearn every vowel and phrase and make it better than before (x2)

I think I know what to do
The rules of it are so damn cruel

Now lets make our lips an accident, on the corner of came and went. We’ll merge in gymnastic flips and
Spirographs. We’ll forget what the future has, we’ll take the day off.

I think we all know the words

this is the best song to listen to when you're driving really fast on a summer evening with the windows down. turn it up really loud too.

i think this song is about two people who have a really strong bond and one person might have really intense feelings for the other person, but they are kept unspoken. it's not a bad thing, but eventually you want the person to know. i think there is the hint of something pure and rare shared between these two people, that is unlike anything else each of them have in their lives, and is very special, because it is outside of the confines of sex or physical things that are so mundane in daily life.

you are lucky if you ever feel this way about someone, i am going through everything this song talks about with this really great boy and i can so relate right now.

One of The Most Serene Republic's best songs ever.

I think this song is about two people who keep falling into each other despite not being in an actual relationship. Instead of trying to move on, they "forget what the future has" - forgetting any future relationships and:

"Now lets make our lips an accident, on the corner of came and went" makes it clear along this is a physical relationship. "The rules are so cruel" is about the 'rules' of a casual hook up - it still hurts everyone's feelings, but for now they "take the day off".

And the last line, "I think we all know the words" -- they've been here before, they know what the other will say and do already and how it will end.
