Wow, no comments? Awesome song. I guess the meaning is pretty obvious, a guy feels like someone, probably his girlfriend, doesn't really care about him enough to miss him when he's not there and he's trying to find out wheter or not she really cares for/has feelings for him. Yep. =]

I think this song is about this guy, and he went to the middle east. His girlfriend probably never showed how much she liked him until he went over there.

i agree with Michelle, He believes the girl he loves doesn't love him back even when he's away. i especially like the lines you cry, at least made you feel something its horrible when you know someone just doesn't care enough to even feel emotion and he's clinging to the fact that if he can make her cry then she must feel something for him at least so he keeps trying to make her love him more and he just wants to know what to do to make her feel for him :)

I think it's about a guy who's going through a rough relationship. He realizes that he doesn't love his girlfriend (If he loved her would he be able to stay away from her "all the time it takes to make you feel something"). He removes himself from her to try and make her feel some emotion for him, so that the relationship won't feel completely empty. He's annoyed by the fact that she doesn't love him either, and he becomes rather spiteful, doing whatever he can to prove to himself that she feels something for him. That's what I think at least...

i think its just about a guy who like, gets into some stupid fight with his girl or whatever, & waits it out to see if she comes back to him, & its like an anthem song - to stay strong `till she starts to feel how hurt the guy is, cause he distances himself as some sorta 'love test' & she isn't coming after em...gotta push em away to see who comes back
