i like the fact that they took a whole futuristic sound with the first album part... then they added this, with 1/2 dance, 1/2 classical... and the second part of the album being all kinda old, nostalgic sounding. it relly made the cd fun to listen to. that the reason i do love this band, their amazingly unique while being oddly familiar. and the piano part in this intermission is outstanding.
this song has nothing to do with god. i mean wtf?!?! stop overthinking everything!! when they were makin the cd they didnt want it to all sound the same so they split it into 2.. the first half is more dance music type stuff and the 2nd is more traditional caberet stuff...
the intermission is the midpoint where it changes from one to the other!!!!!!
omg! shock horror!
Well, there are other meanings to it, so it's unfair to call it "overthinking." I especially love how I'm commenting on something posted 7 years ago... XD

Pretty sure this has to do with the fact that they wrote the first part so it's good to dance to, and also they wrote the music before Ryan wrote the lyrics. And In the second part they wanted something a bit more theatrical and classy, and Ryan wrote the lyrics before the music.
there's prolly no connection or anything, but way back when that dude first did War of the Worlds on the radio, his broadcast began "due to circumstances beyond our control" much like this did
ha whatevs :)
"Ladies and Gentlemen due to circumstances beyond our control we are unable to continue our broadcast of dance musicwe shall continue now with our piano instrumental" This is a perfect opportunity for me to tell you my theory about this album, it is a concert performance. It has a introduction a plot and a intermission for christs sake. Do not argue just accept it for what it is.
Well... ok... I hope youve read a biography of some sort on the band, which would explain their motives for the type and arrangment of music on the CD.
Just want to say that I really love the layout of the CD, I think its very aesthetically pleasing to listen to, especially with the way many of the songs flow right into another, making me less likely to hit the next button and instead listen to the whole album, a sneaky but very smart move, LOVE IT!
panic! wanted to maintain their old sound which, if you saw them pre-feveryoucantsweatout, or heard their demo songs, were much more techno-dance-esque. however, their sound matured and progressed into the unique FYCSO sound. therefore, intermission is the change between their early band sound to the new band sound. they see their careers as a "play", and therefore, the songs tell a story in themselves.
i love this i think its really creative with the piano do you know who plays?
TECHNO WOOT WOOT hahahahahahahahahaha awsome cd.
