Apparently, Charles Littlewing is a paralyzed Native American man. I did some research and I'm sure his nickname is Bucky. So that's what I've gathered. This might be a true story.

Uh.. I really doubt this song is about Alden. Not only is his name not Charles, but he's not a minority and therefore if some kids pushed him in front of a truck, it wouldn't matter whether they were racist or not. I think it's probably about a childhood friend he had.

I definetly think this song is about a childhood friend and that's why we'll never know quite exactly what Bucky little wing means. Even if I don't fully understand this song, this still has to be one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
