I got a secret, a terrible secret
And if I tell you would you promise to keep it secret?

I just put my head down every time you call my name.
Because they never understand me anyway.
Every time you call my name.
In the shape of a palm on the side of her face
Every time you call my name

He was our teacher
a Sunday school preacher
He made her stay after school one day while I waited
And I watched him take her
Beat her and rape her
And he said if you tell anyone i'll have god kill your mommy

So I just put my head down
every time he called me name
cause they never understand me anyway
every time you call my name
in the shape of a palm on the side of her face
every time you call my name

I got a secret, a terrible secret but you'd never understand it anyway
every time you call my name

In the shape of palm on the side of her face
Every time you call my name

Anyway,
Every time you call my name
In the shape of a palm on the side of her face
Every time you call my name

I got a secret

General CommentThis song sounds a lot like as a child he witnessed a rape, but said nothing about it. Personally, i think it's pretty self-explanitory.

And I watched him take her
    Beat her and rape her
And he said if you tell anyone i'll have god kill your mommy

that's pretty blunt. I think that "in the shape of a palm on the side of her face, everytime you call my name" means that when she would call for him, the sunday school teacher would hit her. good song, great band. too bad they split up; i never got to see them live.
