Sittin' Here In Silence (On My Own) Lyrics
Sittin' in silence on my own
Wait 'til everybody's gone
And only I can see
What it means to be
Sittin' here in silence on my own
And only I can see
What it means to be
Sittin' here in silence on my own
Sittin' here in silence on my own
Wait 'til everybody's gone
And only I can see
What it means to be
Sittin' here in silence on my own
What it means to be
Sittin' here in silence on my own
Sittin' here in silence on my own

Ok, to be completely honest, yes the song is short. But I find it beautiful, and it would be ruined if it were any longer. It seems to me to be about some sort of little realization you make, that comes and passes. And the song is just like that. It's like one of those feelings you get when everyone leaves and I can't explain it, it's a strange feeling, not exactly peace, not sadness, almost a feeling of just end. And the song, captures that feeling perfectly if you ask me.
This song is too short. It could've gone somewhere, and let's face it, I'm hardly surprised no one posted this song before I did. It's not classic, it's not meaningful. It's perfectly filler. It doesn't suck, it just doesn't go anywhere, as opposed to all oasis songs which have an idea to them.
It could be an oustanding 4-minute ballad, but it's 2-minute filler. Otherwise it's kind of frustrating to have a great song like that, which is completely cut down.
I like this song... It too short though
I can't stand this song for some reason. Nevermind the length, its just boring. I just hope that the recent lack of good b-sides means the band is saving them for albums. Kinda sucks, I miss 20+ minute Oasis singles, with new songs. This is just an a-side, a short filler, and a live song, clocking in at 15 minutes 15 seconds -_- and thats only because Rock n Roll Star had a long ass outro.
meh, enough ranting though, the song isn't THAT bad. It's short enough for me to listen through it instead of skipping it. To be honest it seems more like a random idea for a song...
qotsa137 ---yer an idiot. I agree with shakermaker23. Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
every time i listen to this song, i think of john lennon's imagine. the song itself however is beautifully simplistic. i think anyone can relate, to me personally it can be a link to those times you've spent on your tod depressed or that time you need and appreciate having time alone. its a great short song that is greatly under appreciated and unknown
When i heard this song I instantly thought of Blowin in the wind. How come no one has written about it??? Its sooooooooooooo much similar
