Don't Forget To Remember Me

Pretty self explanatory really. Basically she's leaving and she doesn't want everyone to forget her and she doesn't want to forget anyone as well. Everyone who knows her knows that she needs to move on and live on her own and do what she needs to do, and she realizes that. She's starting a new chapter in her life but she doesn't want anyone to forget to remember her.

I can't even BEGIN to explain how I relate to that - it sums everything up that's going on in my life right now.

To me, it's just a little reminder for people that even though I'm gone, please don't forget to remember me. I moved away to college this January, it was the first time I've EVER left my home, my family, my friends and I was worried that we'd lose touch - but we haven't and I know we won't :)

I love this song. This is my first year of college, and I can relate to this song in so many ways. My mom and I have always been really close, so it was really hard to leave her. Oddly enough, I actually do call my parents every Sunday night, and until a few days ago, I had been telling my mom that I was fine even though there were some things going on. And I can definitely relate to the idea of feeling 'so small some time in this big ol' place'.

I was scanning the chanels on the radio one day and just came across this song, she has a beautiful voice wich drew me in, soon i'll be relating to the song, i go off to basic training later this year.

all of my best friends are graduating in 17 days. and im only a freshman in high school, whereas they are all seniors and it's really killin me. and no, im not some "immature freshman"... but graduation is really gonna kill me. so i think this is her leaving her home to go to college and heading into the "real world"

she sang this in the recent american idol finale. she was looking so cute! great vocal performance. i cant believe it! taylor hicks won!

when she won idol last yr i was so disappointed cuz i loved bo bice to death... but when i heard her sing during this american idol finale the song acually gave me the the goosebumps!! the words n her voice are amazing... she did deserve to win i guess!!

i don't really know anyone that cant relate to this song. The way that I relate to it is because i'm a real family person. I went to fat camp last summer and missed so much. I missed everything from birhtday parties to bar-b-ques. I knew people would forget to remember me over that MONTH it really is a great song

aggh!!! this song really didnt affect me when i first heard it.

Now when i hear it, I'm sad because it reminds me of my mom. I'm moving to florida in november to be with my boyfriend who is in the air force. I've lived on my own for three years now, but i've always been within 10 minutes of both of my parents.

This is a huuuuuge step in my life, but i know i need it in order to grow up a little more and to move on and not be so dependent on my family.

I'm super excited about it, but at the same time sad. and i can just see my mom putting off the good bye.
