Honestly, do you have to label absolutely every band? Like, who cares if Aiden are gothic/emo? Who cares if they are a cliche? If people like their songs, then what's the point in squabbling over whether they are emo or not.

clears throat I love this song, the lyrics aren't incredible but they're ok, and of course as everyone has been saying, it means so much. It's really catchy...
I resent the "whiney little emo kids" comment ... if everyone who has emotion and actually cares about songs and topics like these is a "whiney little emo kids" then I don't give a fuck ... I'd rather be that than a fuckin' hater who spends their time criticizing shit on the net I don't like when I could spend time doing stuff I do like ... that's the sign of a true jackass with too much time on their hands

this song is extremely powerful. in a recent alternative press podcast, wil francis of aiden explained that it was about a dear friend (who was a girl, not a girlfriend) who moved away from seattle (his hometown) and a month later, committed suicide. they were never romantically involved. he said "what can you do? get a tattoo, right a song, move on." and that's what he did. in reading the lyrics that he wrote about it, i didn't fully understand the song until the screaming part (I MISS YOU!) and then i almost started crying, daring myself to imagine the pain he was in when he wrote this.
