I cant believe no one has commented on this, its one of my favourites by gavin. theres one part i love because of the music and the words "i feel crowded and alone" i can really relate to this. That part feels so important to me; cs while you can be surrounded by so many people its still so easy to feel alone.

I think the song is about someone(I assume a man) not being so stable in a certain part of their life they’ve lost their love, their heart, their sense, they have been everything because of the love they had from the woman in his life its given him the strength to be anything he wanted to be. (first two verses) but the chorus tells us that he “have to feel love” its more like it’s a must, a need, something he can’t survive without; its like he are begging someone to love them, and they are saying that they will “give them everything that they would ever need”.

Hes talking directly to one person, saying that for his entire life he has been trapped by fences, but then she came along and he can see through them, but it says ‘could’ its past tense, the ‘woman’ has took them away; so hes begging for his freedom, his senses, to feel things that he used to feel when he had her love; his sense have been dulled.

I may be wrong with the analysis but heyy I gave it a shot; and while writing this it made me love it more; anyone else got some thoughts; cs ive been searching what people think this songs means, its so powerful; but sometimes I think the power in it is that I don’t really understand it and I can put my own spin and feelings into it. :) x
