Run Devil Run

This is a great set-up for what may become the best album of the year (2006). It sets up a folksy sound that pervades the entire album without being too overwhelming. The voices of the Watson Twins complement Jenny Lewis' soft voice so well!

I think the entire album would be better without the watson twins....

I admire Jenny's voice, but coupled with the backup vocals from the twins, it just sounds too "gospelly" for my tastes.

Are you kidding? The Watson twins are fantastic. They fill out Jenny's voice quite nicely. It is supposed to sound 'gospelly' because it is all about questioning faith and God. This is a perfect build to The Big Guns and the rest of the album.
