Rain Fall Down Lyrics
It was a filthy block of flats
Trash was on the floor
A stink was in my nose
Hinges off the doors
She took me in her room
All was spic and span
Fixed me up a drink
Turned down all the lamps
And the rain fell down
On the cold hard ground
And the phone kept ringing
And we made sweet love
Follow it up in this strange grey town
They build it up and let it all fall down
Feel like we're living in a battleground
Everybody's jazzed
Follow it up in this strange grey town
The paint is peeling and the sky turned brown
The bankers are wankers, every Thursday night
They just vomit on that ground
And the rain fell down
The cold grey town
And the phone kept ringing
And we made sweet love
Everybody's dreaming
Everybody's scheming
Until the rain fall down
She cooked me up some eggs
Then she made some tea
Kissed me on the cheek
And I turned on her TV
It was all the usual crap
All the usual sleaze
For ten thousand quid
Some bimbo spilled the beans, yeah
And the rain fell down
On the cold grey town
And the phone kept ringing
And we made sweet love
And the rain fell down
And we made, and we made, and we made sweet love
And the phone kept, the phone kept ringing... Yeah!
Yeah
And the phone kept ringing
The phone kept ringing, yeah
And the rain... rain... rain... rain.... rain... rain... rain...
Trash was on the floor
A stink was in my nose
Hinges off the doors
All was spic and span
Fixed me up a drink
Turned down all the lamps

They build it up and let it all fall down

a bit like a soft-core porno movie loving the riff, very funky good song from the new album
liked the guitar strumming..
Yeah this song is hot. The riff is addictive and the clip steamy. I think its about sex between lonely people; hooking up to satisfy their needs, but its not really satisfying.."all the usual crap.".. its lustful for the moment but it never lasts.
Thats my shallow interpretation. It definately stands out on the new album.. I'm going to see the stones tomorrow!! Eeek!!
The riff to this song really reminds me of "Miss You" from Some Girls. In some ways, it's even better.
Hmm... As I see it, the only flaw with A Bigger Bang is that it's just not innovative. We've heard it all before. But my god, it's still a great album. The Stones can't ALWAYS be innovative and fresh, especially now that they're in their sixties. While I can understand the reasons why some people were disappointed with the album, I got exactly what I wanted: 64 minutes of that pure classic Stones sound. At this point, I couldn't ask for more.
woah the guitar strumming at the very beginning is absolutely amazing.
