Ain't the meaning quite obvious? It's a bunch of black people wanting to burn hollywood for roles portraying racial discrimination.
Every time I hear this song, I look at Ice Cube's IMDb page and laugh and cry.
I haven't seen any Ice Cube movies where he's played any of the roles they're talking about in this song. He's never played a butler or servant, and I don't think he ever would. Even in Are We There Yet? or Are We Done Yet? he's playing the role of a man who steps up and acts as a father to kids who aren't his. I think it's awesome that he's taken a role that he knew some people would give him shit for.

love this song,i love Ice Cube's addition of "Dont fight the power, shoot the muthafucka" being completely contradictory to what Public Enemy was saying in the "fight the power" song, and yet they included it anyway, it almost reminds me of the ending of "do the right thing"
