It was only last year,
when her old man ran away,
She couldn't stop cryin',
she knew he was gonna stay,
10:35 on a lonely Friday night,
She was standin' by the fire
Ooo she was lookin' alright!

I asked if she wanted to dance, and she said
"all she wanted was good man who wanted to know,
if i thought i was quite a find",
I said "Baby, don't waste your time"
"I know whats on your mind!"
"I may be quite a find, for a one night stand,
but I could never take the place of your man!"

Perky saw a band when i saw what were tears in her eyes,
She was only ever woman, and now she wanted to die,
He looked at her with a baby, and another one on the way,
She couldn't stop cryin', she knew he was gonna stay.

She asked if we couldn't be friends and i said
"Oh, honey, baby, thats okay, you know and i know know know,
you wouldn't be satisfied!"
I said "Baby, don't waste your time, i know whats on your mind",
"I may be quite a find for a one night stand, but i could
Never take the place of your man!"

(Guitar Solo)

"I may be quite a find for a one night stand,
never take the place of your man!"
"I may be quite a find for a one night stand,
but i could never take the place, of your maaaaaaaaaannnnnn!"

(Ending Drums)

Classic love story true to his western tx roots. One of my favorites as a story, but I think there are alot of songs that are amazing not even listed on this site. I guess I should figure out how to add them, because I have about 8 REK cd's.

Warren wanted a Beach Boys thing for this one, and Carl Wilson and Billy Hinsche came in, with Carl arranging the vocal parts. The other harmony vocalists (credited as the "Gentlemen Boys") were Jackson Browne, J.D. Souther, Zevon's longtime backers Waddy Wachtel and Jorge Calderon, and Linda Rondstadt/Stone Poneys guitarist Kenny Edwards.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
