The stanza beginning "A crime crime crime sin & illness is time" has the most elaborate rhythm and rhyme scheme of any song I've ever heard. Astounding (it must be heard to be appreciated; the printed words don't do it justice)

The second verse is about time as a person, that's who has slipped them mickey's, it's just another way of saying that he feels drugged and helpless as he watches summer and love slip away.
