All I Ever Wanted Lyrics
You were my ticket out of here
And I was your dream come true
You gave me everything I ever wanted
Except for you
I convinced myself that over don't mean over
And I convinced myself that I could fix it all
Two dreams collided
And maybe we got too excited
For our own good
No more hold on we can make it
No more holding each other while the words all break it
Move on you know we'll be stronger in the end
Now I convinced myself that nothing could ever tear me away
And I convinced myself that we'd look back and laugh at this one day
Two lives collided
And maybe we got too excited
For our own good
No more hold on we can make it
No more holding our breath while the truth all breaks it
Move on you know we'll be stronger in the end
Hey wait hey don't you know
That this is where the whole thing went wrong
Hey wait hey don't you want
To hear what I have to say
Hey wait hey don't you know
This is where the strong will go on
All I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
Was you
No more hold on we can make it
No more holding each other while the world tries to break us
Move on you know we'll be stronger in the end
Hey wait hey don't you know
That this is where the whole thing went wrong
Hey wait hey don't you want
To hear what I have to say
Hey wait hey don't you know
This is where the strong will go on
All I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
All I ever wanted
Was you

when i first heard this song it hit me hard...im just about to graduate highskool....and moving to college...and me and my bf are havin problems...he is moving to a whole other continent....and i am tryin to come to terms to it...and the line where it says:
"Move on you know we'll be stronger in the end"
is what i am tryin to convince myself off...anyways to me this song shows the parting of two people who love each other but fail to overcome the obstacles they are faced with .... anywayz...thats wut i think... and as i have noticed no has posted any comments yet on this gr8 song....so hope this adds something to it ...

yea i agree with heartless87.. im a guy and im strait but i can say that when i heard this song it made me think about a lot of stuff... i think its about 2 people who broke up on a really bad note and listened to other people instead of actually doing what they wanted No more hold on we can make it No more holding each other while the world tries to break us -thats where i think that they he tries and make things better but they both would rather end it now, then waiting forever
This was one of those songs that I felt could have been exactly written for me. After I ended my first relationship I heard this song, and it was almost as if the person who wrote it had been watching our relationship. Every single line in the song resonates with me. Its been almost two years now, and still when I hear this song it takes me right back there. One of the great things about music, it can make you feel like you're the only person in the world who gets the song's meaning. Such a great song.
In my opinion, this is about being in love with someone, but something happens and you break up. however, you convince yourself that things will get better and you'll get back together. and you're going through life denying that it's not gonna work. i can't figure out if i'm denying the same thing, but i've convinced myself that we're meant to be, because we always go back to one another. i've never heard this, but the lyrics sound good. just the words are meaningful to me.
Did anybody see the time Train performed this song on an episode of CSI: NY because the lead singer was playing a homeless man who started a band (the real one) after getting caught up in an insurance scam?
The key line is don't you know that this is where the strong will go on. My post is too long for this site, so here: http://americanhousewifeinlondon.blogspot.com/2011/04/while-we-are-talking-about-weddings-and.html
