This song is such genius. It's sexy and beautifully intimate (his girlfriend is the violinist, if I'm not mistaken, which could explain something).
This is my favorite Harcourt song. I don't think the meaning's hidden too much, but other people who've listened to the song get the impression he's saying not to fall in love. It's not so much that, I think, as that he's saying- let not the bad experiences you've had in the past become a burden or make you cynical.
