Basically it's about celebs who try anything to stay in the spotlight even though it can't last forever and the 'fans' that only love them for those moments, after that they no longer matter. Thats my take on it.

I think this is refering to Marilyn Manson, that was the meaning behind Starfuckers. (Reznor made Manson, then they had a falling out)
