Cure Lyrics

In your web
The threads entangle
Your prey is dead -
Dyed in silence

I'll forever stay with you
At your feet I will kneel
At your will
Dead silent

When I move - I am moved by you
When you rule - All is ruled by you
In your world - There is only you
In my world - There is only you

In your web
The threads entangle
At your will
Dead silent

Your words are shivers down my spine
I'm numb and shapeless - in your web - in your web
My blood runs slow and red like wine
The past is shattered - forever

I serve your will - for I have been bruised and battered
and covered
I serve your will - for I have been ordinated your lover

As a submissive, i can really relate to this song. When i am being dominated, i have a sense that i would be content to kneel there forever - that my Dom is the entire world... the past is forgotten. The line "your words are shivers down my spine" is so perfect - that's how it feels for me. i don't know if this is what the lyricist intended the song to mean, it's just what it conveys to me. It also reminds me somewhat of "In Your Room" by Depeche Mode -
"In your room, where souls disappear only you exist here" and "I'm hanging on your words living on your breath feeling with your skin Will I always be here?"

lol @ women not having a backbone

Actually tonedeaf, i think it takes a hell of a lot of backbone for a woman to publicly identify as a submissive, given the stigma and discrimination against subs that you've just illustrated.

It could also mean submission to god. The verse: "for I have been ordinated your lover " makes me think that because nuns "mary" jesus christ symbolicaly when they join a monastery.
