Love this song! Anyone have any meanings for it?

I was listening to this song today and wondered if anyone had the real meaning of it

after seeing no one did, I thought about it and it kind of seems like it's about a person that's giving up either their entire life or something important to please another person, even though it's ruining them, they're giving it all to make another person happy

I'm not 100% sure thoughm because it almost sounds like he's talking about either signing himself to the Devil or to God, not sure

I think this song is about how people act like someone there not to be excepted. They put on a mask and do whatever it takes to please other people even though they hate themselves for doing it.

by the way, why do people make comments like "i love this song its so amazing" all the time. we dont come to this site to see who else likes the song. just put what you think of the song we dont really care if you like it or not.

Oh ho, ho. A good song.

The meaning is someone who is in love with another. He's slowly being forgotten and written off by the girl he loved. He was so emotionally invested in a girl, and it has ruined him, because he thought she was perfect, and now he's covering up how devastated he is.

The last part is a bit iffy. He's either saying that the one he loved has become something worse than he could imagine and he tells them how much it has hurt him, or he's saying that he's being changed from this experience and can't give a smile and doesn't give a damn.

This band is better than a lot of them.

After listening to this song a few times i guess to me it seems that the singer is yelling or talking to someone who has wronged them in some way.

He confronts them about trying to forget about what they did, trying to walk away and trying to hide away from what happened. Telling that person that even though they'd rather forget about it, they should think of how they hurt the singer and not be selfish and just try to hide away.

He doesn't think that anyone else realizes that he's just been torn into and that now he's emotionally weak and is scared to trust again because of all the lies he was fed before.

He's sarcastically that they should just try and cover things up, turn into something thats not them, but rather something that fits society's view, aka to conform. again sarcastically, no one needs to know that they have been ruined. in reality they haven't been ruined, they're trying to escape the ruin that they've left him in. Sarcastically, again the idea of trading themselves in for something they're not. And finally saying sarcastically that after they have traded themselves in that they will finally be lifted from the burdens of their past, and will be free of what they've done.

Every time that they see him(singer), they are reminded of what they have done and how its forever changed him. They're so consumed with guilt that they cant even pretend to smile because they know that they are the cause of so much pain. I believe that the loss of a youthful mind refers to the lost of an easily trusting point of view. Children believe what you tell them and accept it as the truth as the singer apparently did, but now life whatever happened has made him loose his innocence. They then go on to say that they should reflect on what they've become...liar, traitor, whore, etc. and try to remember what they used to be like before they changed, when the singer and this person were friends/lovers.

"I know you can't feel a thing It hurts to feel anymore"

Because of what they've done, they've probably been left in a world of loneliness, doubt and insecurity, and have probably been abandoned by they're friends for whatever they did. Now, in their own hell, It even hurts to feel.

I love the sound of this sound, but it kinda sounds like he's preaching at someone. I don't know though, maybe that's just me.
