Beyond the Sun Lyrics
Speak to me
So I can understand your tongue
You seem rather fragile
It's been said
It's cold beyond the sun
Have you ever been there?
Communicating thoughts of ways
To never have to speak again
Let me be the fire in your head
Bring what's yours, I'll take what's mine
And meet you on the other side
We'll leave a sign so anyone can find us
A better place, a sweeter time
We won't need any wings to fly
A place beyond the sun
Look for me
The way you would if you were blind
Don't be so resistant
I've been known
To travel much too fast
Is that you in the distance?
Communicating thoughts of ways
To never have to speak again
Let me be the fire in your head
Bring what's yours, I'll take what's mine
And meet you on the other side
We'll leave a sign so anyone can find us
A better place, a sweeter time
We won't need any wings to fly
A place beyond the sun
Communicating thoughts of ways
To never have to speak again
Let me be the fire in your head
Bring what's yours, I'll take what's mine
And meet you on the other side
We'll leave a sign so anyone can find us
A better place, a sweeter time
We won't need any wings to fly
A place beyond the sun
So I can understand your tongue
You seem rather fragile

Let me be the fire in your head

I personally think that this song is about a man who loves someone who is afraid to love. In the first verse he begins using "Beyond the sun" as a metaphor for love, and he questions her as to whether she has been in love. In the second verse, he mentionas regretfully that he has fallen in love with her too fast, and she is still lagging behind unsure of where to go. So in the chorus he's asking her to come with him to "A place beyond the sun" or asking her to come and love him and reassure her that it will be better.
Don't need to put my thought about this song other than Shinedown produces these works of art that you can connect to any realm of your life and that this song is just beautiful...
this is one of my favourite songs on the new album..
It seems to be about wanting to take someone away, to a new, better life. Someone who needs to be protected, and watched over.
I believe your on to something Trivial. I don't want to go into depth and explan my theory, but I think it's about falling in love. Many lines in the song would back this up.
Not to be picky, but he's saying "we'll leave a sign so anyone can find us", not a "sun"
Dave b. I agree."Bring what's yours, I'll take what's mine And meet you on the other side" I think this says it take your shit i'll take mine.. lets fall in love. And its sign not sun good point
The line "Let me be the fire in your hand" suggests that the song has something to do with marriage or at the very least a strong commitment, in many religions including catholisism and hinduism fire metaphors are often used for commitment and unity, in certain hindu wedding rituals fire is a focal point of the ceremony.
it is infact, "let me be the fire in your hand" not head, as is what is listed here.
I havent reallly concentrated on the lyrics, but the song is awsome.
I kinda always thought the song was about a suicide pact.
