This song is about a girl who is greatly in love, but the boy isn't what the girl thought he was. At first, everything was perfect for her, but the boy made things fall apart, especially after she realized that he is different from what she thought. In the middle, the artist is beckoning the girl to listen to her heart, to see if he is really worth it. If keeping him and staying in love is worth the dark times they boy creates. The artist is singing of how she doesn't know the girl's choice, or how it will be chosen.done, but all she knows is that the girl is listening to her heart.

To me, this song is advice to another girl. "I don't know where you're going and I don't know why." Maybe the girl she's speaking to is working towards something (a goal or dream) and she's thinking about letting go of the guy because she's scared the guy will be a distraction from her dreams... The singer may have let go of a guy to pursue her dreams, but she regrets it because she didn't listen to her heart. Now, she's trying to stop someone else from making the same stupid mistake.

That's just kind of what I think.
I think this song has two different meanings really! One for the person that they would like to be with or a dream that they have in their head. They just dont have a clue about what they will have to do to achieve their dream to get that special person! So they are saying that they will listen to their heart before they decide that they are going to give up on them.
The other meaning that I have seen within this song is that the singer has experienced some problems with their partner so they are thinking about what they will have to do to resolve it or that their trust has been damaged. So they are thinking if they have to let them go so that they dont hurt themselves some more or should they keep them close as they once were. Where something may be eating them up inside and they can put up with it since they love that person and are willing to put up with their mistakes. So they are looking to their heart to see if they have the right idea on what they are doing with their partner.

Actually. It's about a girl whose boyfriend chose another girl over her, and now she's trying to put away her feelings for the boy and tell the other girl not to let go too easy, to listen to her heart.
i agree with you shallremain i think their singing from a past experience "Sometimes you wonder if this fight is worthwhile" and their aking sure that the person listning to the song is going to make the right decision becasue once you make a decision like breaking up with the one you love you may neva be able to undo that misstake

i think it could be like yeah, shallremain, advice to another girl- maybe she was in love with some guy, but going to let go because . . . it wasn't 'worth while', but, just, before you really do that, 'listen to your heart'
to me this song is about a girl that has to leave someone she loves and she knows she will probably never get to see that person again and another person i telling that girl before you leave make sure you are doing the right thing and you know you wont have any regrets after leaving "listen to your heart before you tell him goodbye" but that is just what I think
