The Frankston Line Lyrics
The day is grey, don't love you anymore
The sun smiles on the red tiles, I don't love you anymore
The Frankston Line's full of teenage crime
And the cops can't do no more
Hooded topes, cigarettes at stops, I don't love you anymore
I'll leave you, I won't leave you
The sea's so beautiful
The council plans for seaside plans mean beauty writ of law
Views of seas in legalese, I don't love you anymore
I searched through your house for my skin
We end to begin
The sea dog will say it's alright
We'll be alright
The sun smiles on the red tiles, I don't love you anymore
The Frankston Line's full of teenage crime
And the cops can't do no more
Hooded topes, cigarettes at stops, I don't love you anymore
The sea's so beautiful
Views of seas in legalese, I don't love you anymore
We end to begin
The sea dog will say it's alright
We'll be alright

Hah I live in Frankston and the lines "The Frankston Line's full of teenage crime And the cops can't do no more Hooded topes, cigarettes at stops" Are pretty much true. Catching a Frankston train is the scariest thing someone could do. Awesome song tho!
this is a very beautiful, slightly sad song. i love it even though i don't understand it at all.
This is a very nice song I think its about people caring less about nature.
Whoa, how uncanning...I live in Frankston, Victoria, Australia...Tran-line stops at Frankston, near the sea and yes the crime is escalating...Are they Aussie's???
Yep they are aussies. just like u and just like me. not entirely sure on this one so dont quote me but i read somewhere they r from sydney...? This song kinda sounds like its about opening your eyes and realising there has been alot going on around u that perhaps u didnt notice b4. mayb blinded by love? and at the end it says "we'll be alright" so mayb upon seeing all thats wrong around ur r/s u realise wat u have isnt really that bad. thats jst my interpretation.
Thanks JessicaJayne, the mystery un-ravels...Haven't heard much media coverage of this band so had no idea they were from we are from!!!! GO AUSSIE!!! Great Band!!!!
once i got on a train at frankston that had a few of it's windows smashed by rocks thrown at the moving train.. so there you go
i love this song so much! i have no idea what it means, but you can't help but love it. 'We end to begin'....so true!!
i come from frankston!...well nearby anyway, itsl ike the next town (and here towns arent far away, its not like country or anything) just for the record, frankston is full of crime, its probably one of the most crime ridden places in the state (Victoria) other than innercity areas of Melbourne (there ya go, a lesson ont he crime rate of part of Australia, isnt anyone reading this lucky!)
As for the song, well i think it may be leaving home, like a person who cared deeply about where their roots lay, but now are uprooting and leaving, even though they may not want to...just my opinion
