Devoured In Peace Lyrics
Hold on, don't go, do those awful things, in your head
'cause it's not you
I know your body cracked exactly how you had planned
but it's not you, tell me it's not you
You looked like a stranger, the only advice I could give was c'mon c'mon c'mon and live!
We keep reliving that Monday or Tuesday, I can't recall
but it's not you
I know you'd shut off Imagine 'cause you could hear John breathing
how do I shut off my skin and the walls and the hills and the trees where you still breathe
'cause it's not you
I know your body cracked exactly how you had planned
but it's not you, tell me it's not you
but it's not you
how do I shut off my skin and the walls and the hills and the trees where you still breathe

Amazingly catchy. The entire album is just amazing.
About someone changing. Not themself anymore.
I keep relating songs to self-destructing, drug addiction, alcoholism, or eating disorders. But this one really, really, really feels like it.
"Hold on, don't go, do those awful things, in your head 'cause it's not you I know your body cracked exactly how you had planned but it's not you, tell me it's not you"
That whole thing could perfectly describe Anorexia. A girl who had plotted all along to ruin her body in these ways... so eventually her body broke down. And that It's not really her (or well, the good side of her).
